Session Policies

Applications

If you are considering becoming a new client for Counselling, Consulting or Supervision, please fill out an application form on my sister site, Wisdom House. Please note that I am no longer accepting clients or students for healing work.  You can read more about this here.

Counselling, consulting and supervision services are not intended to replace sound professional medical or psychiatric advice.  Any information or services received are simply part of a complete scheme of care, prevention and well-being and must be approached as such.  By filling out the application form, you acknowledge that you understand that you assume responsibility for the way in which you choose to view & use the information that is being presented in a session.

Confidentiality

I adhere to a strict ethical code.  Any information shared within your session is strictly confidential and will be treated as such.  Information will only be shared if your written permission is requested and received, and then only that which is relevant to your treatment and progress will be shared with a specifically named professional.

Consent 

Appointments must be booked by you and cannot be booked by a third party unless that person has Power of Attorney rights.  By saying “Yes” or “Y” to the last question in the application form, you acknowledge that you understand my policies thoroughly.  This is called Informed Consent and I do not under any circumstances counsel, supervise or consult with a client without it.

Scope of Care 

I do not deal with crisis or emergency situations and I am not ‘on call’. Services are for adults only.  Counselling sessions are designed to address the emotional and psychological aspects of everyday issues in everyday life.  They are not designed to address crisis, addiction or significant psychiatric issues.  

Cancellations 

Appointment times are booked well in advance.  If you need to cancel an appointment, there is a minimum of 48 hours notice required or you may be charged for your appointment.

Timing

It is expected that you will arrive on time for your scheduled appointment time so that treatment times can be ensured for everyone. If you are late for your appointment, you will still be charged starting at your scheduled appointment time.

Payments

For secure payment on this site I accept PayPal and VISA, MasterCard, AMEX and Discover via Square. 

If you prefer to pay with credit card over the phone, I accept VISA, MasterCard, AMEX and Discover via Square register. I also accept email transfers. Or I can email you an invoice that has a secure credit card payment portal embedded in it. For any of these options, please email me with your order at heidi@heidilight.com.

Shipping

Shipping is via Canada Post Expresspost. Once shipped, you can expect your package in 1-2 business days. A signature is required so please make sure someone is home to accept your package. Otherwise, Canada Post will leave you a card. Shipments to the U.S. are via USPS. International shipments are via FedEx.

If you are in the Georgian Bay area & would like to pick up your order at my home studio in Meaford free of charge, you can either place your order online & choose the free shipping option, or you can email me your order & pay in person when you pick it up.

I offer Free Delivery to your home or business twice per week within the Collingwood - Thornbury - Meaford area. Please place your order online and choose the free shipping option or email / text me your order.

Shipping is free to other Canadian locations for orders over $150 pre-tax.

Orders

Please note that I fill orders twice per week. All store sales are final - I do not offer refunds. Exchange or credit will only apply on merchandise that has a visible manufacturer's defect and only if it is reported within 5 business days of receiving the shipment. So please be sure of your purchase - ie. know your ring size. (Note that wide bands fit smaller than narrow bands etc). I want you to love what you buy!
